Back at home.

"Chae-yoon. Let's wash our hands first."

At Jo Sung-hyun's words, Chae-yoon ran to the bathroom as soon as she put down her bag.

Jo Sung-hyun picked her up and helped her wash her hands comfortably, and then washed his own hands.

They immediately started making tteokbokki.

Tteokbokki was not a difficult dish.

There was sugar, soy sauce, and red pepper paste at home, so there was nothing he couldn't do.

Chae-yoon looked at Jo Sung-hyun making tteokbokki with curiosity.

Jo Sung-hyun was not good at cooking, but he wasn't completely bad either.

He could make it taste decent, if not skillful.

"Dad."

"Hmm?"

"Did you get a phone call?"

"Huh? No. I was just checking."

While making tteokbokki, Jo Sung-hyun occasionally checked the recipe he found on the internet and casually put his smartphone in his pocket at Chae-yoon's words.

Tteokbokki was done quickly.

Jo Sung-hyun tasted it and scooped out Chae-yoon's portion on a small plate.

"Chae-yoon, is this enough?"

Nod.

Chae-yoon nodded her head, holding a fork with a character on it.

She looked eager to eat, so Jo Sung-hyun smiled and quickly set the table.

"Let's eat!"

"Thank you for the food!"

Chae-yoon shouted in a cheerful voice.

He felt it when he made kimbap last time, but Chae-yoon really liked the food that Jo Sung-hyun made.

'Maybe she's just curious.'

He had never cooked for her before.

They hardly ate at home, and when they did, Jo Sung-hyun bought food from outside, or it was food made by Chae-yoon's grandmother, Lee Su-hyun.

Jo Sung-hyun picked up a rice cake with chopsticks and ate it.

It wasn't bad, so he was satisfied.

But Chae-yoon's face was strange as she put a rice cake in her mouth with a fork.

Jo Sung-hyun quickly noticed something was wrong and opened his mouth.

"Chae-yoon, why. Is it not tasty?"

"I, it's tasty."

She said it was tasty, but her expression said otherwise.

Chae-yoon's flustered face, her eyes darting around, were not the face of someone who ate something delicious.

She chewed the rice cake in her mouth and swallowed it with difficulty.

Soon, her face turned red.

Jo Sung-hyun then realized why Chae-yoon was so flustered and surprised.

It was one of the common mistakes of a novice dad.

The tteokbokki was not tasteless.

It suited Jo Sung-hyun's taste and was fine.

But the problem was....

"Chae-yoon, is it spicy? I'm sorry."

It could have been spicy for a 7-year-old child.

"I can eat it!"

Hastily, Chae-yoon said as if to defend herself.

Jo Sung-hyun looked at her and scratched his cheek.

It looked like she would burst her face due to the spiciness.

Jo Sung-hyun thought that and got up from his seat and went to the fridge and took out a yogurt and handed it to Chae-yoon.

Chae-yoon quickly took it and sucked it.

It must have been really spicy.

"I guess it was spicier than the tteokbokki grandma made. I'm sorry."

He said that and Chae-yoon shook her head.

"Dad's tteokbokki is delicious...."

She looked at the tteokbokki with a regretful face and said that, and Jo Sung-hyun smiled and stroked her head.

Jo Sung-hyun had to do some emergency treatment.

It wasn't anything big.

He just sprinkled a lot of cheese on top.

It wouldn't fundamentally get rid of the spiciness, but the cheese would help a lot.

"How is it, is it better?"

"It's tasty."

Fortunately, it suited Chae-yoon's taste.

Jo Sung-hyun felt relieved as he watched her eat the tteokbokki with a smile and continued his meal.

That day, Chae-yoon drank three bottles of yogurt while eating tteokbokki.

* * *

"Dad is good at everything."

After finishing the meal, he was doing the dishes when Chae-yoon came up to him and said that.

Jo Sung-hyun looked down at his daughter who suddenly came up to him and said that with a puzzled face.

"I'm not good at everything. Dad has a lot of things he can't do."

Jo Sung-hyun said.

He had a lot more things he couldn't do than he could.

Look, he just made a mistake.

Chae-yoon was a 7-year-old child, and he should have known that tteokbokki could be spicy, but he didn't think of that simple thing.

Good at everything, what.

"Dad can cook and sing well!"

"Really?"

Jo Sung-hyun asked, and Chae-yoon nodded her head vigorously.

She seemed to have something to say, so Jo Sung-hyun didn't deny it anymore.

He finished the dishes, took off his rubber gloves, and turned around and picked up Chae-yoon.

"Do you like it that dad can cook and sing well?"

"Yes. Young-joon also said dad sings well."

"I'll have to buy Young-joon something delicious later."

"Dad sings really well."

Seeing her emphasize that he was good at something, Jo Sung-hyun tried to figure out what she wanted to do.

She didn't seem to be just saying that.

Chae-yoon's intention was soon revealed.

She giggled and clenched her fist.

There was a small sticker in her small fist.

She stuck it on the back of Jo Sung-hyun's hand.

"Dad is good, so you get a well done sticker!"

He saw the well done sticker for the first time in a long time, stuck on the back of his hand.

Jo Sung-hyun received it and smiled sincerely.

"My Chae-yoon is so lovely, what should I do?"

It's a big deal.

Jo Sung-hyun thought to himself.

He already felt it.

He was becoming more and more of a doting father.
